Overview

Pushing the Boundaries of Discovery and Creativity
Dartmouth’s largest academic unit, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences encompasses more than 40 academic departments, programs, and centers spanning four divisions: the Arts and Humanities, International and Interdisciplinary Studies, Sciences, and Social Sciences.
The dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences oversees the division’s educational policies, curriculum, and all matters relating to the effectiveness, development, and well-being of the faculty—fostering a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where students and faculty respond with research and innovation to the most pressing challenges of our time.

Meet the Dean of Faculty
